MI8: The Final Reckoning

To mark the 78th edition of the Cannes Festival and in partnership with the PR agency FroggyBee, our Print and Digital experts have supported Paramount and Tom Cruise by creating a spectacular installation in the gardens of the Carlton to promote the film MISSION : IMPOSSIBLE : THE FINAL RECKONING.

Mission accomplished in Cannes

Froggy Bee has given us a new challenge:

«Your mission, should you choose to accept it: create an event podium topped with a deconstructed XXL LED screen made up of 140 LED panels, providing ultra-high definition 4K video playback, a relief-effect staging across 9 distinct planes, as well as complete cladding of the entire structure, all assembled in under 7 days!»

Mission accepted. And brilliantly executed.

Expectations

To enhance the trailer, our digital signage experts designed and set up a creative dynamic display using perfectly synchronised unstructured screens.

As this event installation is being set up in a high-traffic location, the gardens of the prestigious and iconic Hôtel Carlton, we have designed bespoke metal components to ensure the stability of the entire structure, with regulatory safety approval.

We covered the entire structure with matt black dibond panels, recycled black backing fabric and lino, printed and cut in our workshops, and our POS department created a polystyrene lettering featuring the title of the blockbuster and the star's name, placed in front of the stage.

A meticulous 360° operation, combining creation, engineering, image and emotion.

We have also ensured that the wood panels, OSB and dibond will be recycled at the end of the festival by our committed partner. GreenBee, which gives a new life to event materials by offering them to local organisations involved in the social and solidarity economy and ecological transition. This year, the Entraides Cannes association and La Tricyclette, a sustainable design agency specialising in repurposing, will benefit from the materials.
