Tailor-made signage
Who hasn't got lost in a hotel when returning to their room? It's at times like these that clear, well-placed signage is important to guide new visitors to this type of establishment.
And that's just the point! To mark the opening of the Ibis Styles hotel in La Roche-sur-YonOur Space Design team produced all the custom signage.
Expectations
The brief was to implement a complete signage project with a brass look.
For this project, we provided the hotelier with our expertise on the specific uses to be applied to this building: placement of directional beacons in compliance with regulations and standards in terms of signage.
Based on inspirational images supplied by the customer, we provided a global response using our plan-based programming methodology, which enabled us to precisely define the number of elements to be produced, their dimensions and layout, the choice of materials and the detailed production schedule.
Materials and control
The choice of materials required a great deal of thought. We had to find an aesthetic material that would contrast with the wooden doors, with a premium imitation brass finish, while keeping to a tight budget.
So we came up with a solution that allowed us to play with the shadows cast by the lighting, using thick black panels.
Once the dossier had been validated, our teams produced and installed all the components within 15 days, so that the site could be handed over in time for the safety commission to visit.
