Paralympic stories at the Pantheon

Otherwise able

Sport & inclusion

For PARIS 2024, the Pantheon is being transformed into a place to celebrate the history of Paralympic athletes. " Paralympic Stories: From sporting integration to social inclusion (1948-2024) "traces the development of Paralympic sport and its impact on the perception of disabled people in society.

Deltaèdre workshop entrusted us with the creation of the sets and signage for this unique exhibition, which highlights the history of this fight for emancipation and equality, from the first Paralympic Games organised in 1960 in Rome, Italy, to this year of hosting the Games in France.

Expectations

Based on the scenography designed by Deltaèdre workshopIn the context of the Paralympic Games, we put forward technical recommendations for the most appropriate large-format media to highlight the performances of the personalities and athletes who have worked for the recognition of Paralympic sport.

Particular care has been taken with the quality of the achievements, with the printing of the sets ensuring perfect enhancement of each scenographic detail, and their installation in this historic place of memory.

Our main challenge was to recreate an athletics track in this sumptuous setting using lino printed in our workshops, which required all the skill of our in-house fitters to install on a 6-metre high picture rail.

This exhibition in a historic monument is distinguished by its scenography, designed to be accessible to all audiences, including people with disabilities. Seated consultation stations, tactile drawings, objects to touch, as well as content in Braille and large print are all integrated to ensure a multi-sensory experience. Audiovisual content is subtitled, and videos in French and international sign language are available.

The inclusion of people with disabilities is a theme that is particularly close to our hearts at Exhibit Group.

We are delighted to be able to contribute to the development of these "differently abled" talents.
