Contemporary art invites itself to Chambord
From 1 May to 4 September, the Chambord Castle welcomes Pablo Reinoso for its exhibition "Overflows"on the theme of harmony between man and nature.
The artist has chosen to develop their intervention around the idea of an ecosystem, which is particularly prevalent in the Chambord estate due to its role as a true open laboratory for biodiversity.
In an unprecedented move, Chambord is inviting Pablo Reinoso to spill onto the façade of the Château with a monumental installation on the scaffolding. The artist is presenting "Entrelacs," an artwork 45 metres high, emblematic of his exploration of Chinese ink painting conducted during his residency at the Estate.
Expectations
Our subsidiary Felix & Co has printed «Entrelacs», a 45m high by 250m² artwork on Mesh canvas. Originally created with Indian ink, it was scanned and then adapted by our DTP department for large-format printing.
The stakes are high, as this is the very first time the Domaine de Chambord has allowed a display on the château! This monumental installation is visible from the French formal gardens of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Our teams reacted quickly to deploy the canvas in 2 days, while complying with the safety measures for scaffolding on a historic monument.
