An XXL expo in Marseille
Les Terrasses du Port, a shopping centre with sea views of the La Joliette port, offers an exceptional exhibition called Marseille XXL from December to August 2019.
The concept, which was the brainchild of two painters (David d'Alessandro and Guy Tempier), consists of exhibiting large-format artworks by local emerging artists to the residents of Marseille and tourists. A cross-cutting and modern initiative, as it is their natural interest in unrestrained and monumental printing that made them decide to exhibit 16 artworks by four different artists on the frontages of the shopping centre.
Expectations
As technical partner of the exhibition, our design office has designed, recommended and produced custom aluminium frames with complex hardware. 16 artworks and two exhibit labels measuring 16 m2 have been printed in our southern workshop and attached to the frames.
The choice of materials: PVC canvas on aluminium frame, is due to their strength and resilience in order to ensure the continuity of the exhibition until August 2019.
Our installation teams, using three aerial lifts, have installed the artworks over three consecutive nights.
